Winter skills courses give the skills needed for safe travel in winter and also how to look after yourself in winter. On top of this the mountaineer also needs other skills. Navigation is one of the most important skills needed and can easily be learned on a Navigation course. First aid is an important part of mountaineering you never know when you or a member of your party will need it. First aid courses will teach everything from the basics to more advanced first aid and can even be used in the workplace.
