This section of the website will give you all the information on the things you will need to bring for your adventure.

Summer courses

We supply the basic safety equipment needed on courses, such as group shelter, first aid kit and an emergency flask. We will also supply ropes, harnesses, and helmets as well as buoyancy aids and paddles.

What to bring:

  • Warm clothes (Including thick socks and underwear).
  • Hats, gloves and mitts.
  • Two fleeces (At least).
  • Light walking trousers.
  • Waterproof jacket and trousers.
  • Thermos flask.
  • Camera.
  • Wash kit and towel.
  • Personal first aid and blister kit.
  • Midge spray.
  • Sun glasses.
  • Sun cream.
  • Head torch, batteries, spare bulb.
  • Whistle.
  • Rucksack 30-40ltr.
  • Rucksack liner.
  • Survival bag.

Winter courses

Bring all of the things from the summer list and also:

  • Thermals.
  • Thick mountain trousers.
  • Ski goggles.
  • Spare hats, gloves and mittens.
  • Mountain boots (Suitable for walking crampons)
  • Ice axe and crampons (We can arrange hire of these items if we know in advance).
  • Map (Glen Coe) and compass. 
  • Helmet (If you have one).

 Other items specifically for over night camps/snow-holing.

  • Sleeping bag.
  • Roll mat.
  • Bivi bag.
  • Tent.
  • Stove and fuel.
  • Overnight food.
  • Cutlery, plates and pots.

Items specific to water sports.

  • Spare footwear/wellies. 
  • Swimming costume, shorts/trunks.
